Story of Origin
SYKE Society's story begins with the relentless pursuit for a safe, natural and legal alternative to the dangerous man-made substitutions and high risk illicit substances that have been rapidly growing in popularity.
Globally, the demand and interest for alternative experiences has driven producers to find creative ways to satisfy those increasing appetites. Unfortunately, the outcome of this has effectively created some man-made substances and compounds that have harmful effects to humans. As people like us explore the shelves we may not realize that our bodies and minds serve as the guinea pigs for these novel and experimental substances put out by various companies hoping to ride the trip wave to profits. These companies want to make a quick buck but lack the consideration of any possible short or long term effects their products might have. Some of those man-made compounds turning up in so called "mushroom" chocolate bars have never before been ingested by any person until recent years. Bottom line is that some companies are putting these experimental products on the shelf to make a quick dollar at the cost of public health.
SYKE Society came together as a partnership between diverse individuals with a common goal. We were looking for something natural, tried and trued as well as safe to offer to people who were looking for alternative experiences. At last the determination of very obsessive mycologists has led to a discovery worth sharing with the world. What the team of mycologists found is a compound quite unlike the imposter synthetic concoctions that litter the shelves of sketchy smoke shops and shady online marketplaces. It is naturally organic and found in ancient species of the magic mushroom. Both safe and legal. This gift from Mother Nature is unscheduled by the DEA. It's a reminder that the answers we seek in response to the call for collecting alternative experiences and perspectives aren't necessarily supposed to be found in man-made creation, or pill, or bottle but from the ancient wisdom of the Earth’s own neural network of mycelium. The mushroom has many "entourage effect" compounds that we are beginning to understand the importance of. We will deliver more on this later in our blog.
Psilocybin and Psilocin are identified as the two main compounds associated with the desired effects of magic mushroom consumption. However, due to the illegal status and harsh sentencing outcomes, taking these compounds holds an inherent legal risk to the user.
